Summarizing our trip in numbers

Just a few fun numbers we collected about our trip. While it is by no means comprehensive, I think it gives an interesting perspective on themes of our time in New Zealand :)

• Glowworm sightings: 4
• Max number of glaciers seen from one vantage point: 11-12 (Because apparently, according to Anna our glacier travel guide, it “gets a bit messy in the corner there”.)
• Max number of waterfalls seen from one vantage point: 18, on the Milford track in the Clinton valley
• Swing bridges crossed: at least 16
• Jars of peanut butter consumed: 5
• Sun cream bottles used: 5
• Types of birds photographed: 48+ (we didn’t actually keep track because…we’re amateurs)
• Bodies of water we got onto or into: 11
