Springing in Steamboat

After a couple years of having the Mountain Collective pass, we’ve started seeing a trend about ski trips. The likelihood that you get great snow on your trip is pretty much 50/50. At least, this seems to represent the few trips we’ve taken in recent memory.

Towards the end of March we took a quick trip out to Steamboat with the Limbird fam. True to the 50/50 rule, while a trip a couple years ago was filled with powdery snow, this one landed on the end of a dry warm spell. So there was still coverage, but the snow had gotten into a freeze-thaw cycle that makes the decision of when to get out of bed a bit more complex.

In any event, we enjoyed the time back at Steamboat and hanging out with everyone. We also headed over to Copper Mtn on our last day in town to check out the conditions there – slightly better. And we hit each bowl that day!
